The icon of Virgin Mary Pantanassa of the 17th century, located in the temple of the Holy and Great Monastery of Vatopedi, was the cause for the creation of copies of the particular icon, known among Orthodox Christians for its miraculous action. Several cases of cancer sufferers who were alleviated by its miraculous grace are well-known. Two copies of the icon, upon a request from the Patriarchate of Moscow, have been transferred to the Church of All Saints at Krasnoe Selo and to the Monastery of Metamorphosis, in Novospaski.
